Dear parents, grandparents and friends

Many greetings from the Lions Class!

It has been a very active and exciting week as we wrapped up our very first project about the crayons and said goodbye to them. Let’s take a look at all the wonderful things we did together.

During the past days, we met our last crayon, the blue one named Saminka. Saminka came to us with a special request – she wanted to learn how to walk independently. The children proudly showed her how we work by ourselves, how we take care of our responsibilities in the classroom, and how we can do things independently.

After welcoming Saminka, it was time to say goodbye to the whole crayon box. We placed all the crayons in a circle, remembered their names, and recalled the important lessons they had taught us – and what we had taught them in return. Together, we summed up everything into six classroom agreements. By the end of our circle, we signed our posters and discussed what each one represents. These beautiful posters are now displayed around the classroom, reminding us of the values and agreements we created together and will follow throughout the whole school year. So exciting!

Of course, we also stayed busy with our weekly tasks. Everyone completed their classroom jobs and enjoyed working on lots of creations from our crafty book – such fun!
At the same time, we have already started our new project. For this one, we asked each family to send us a picture of their family members, which will become part of our Lions’ Family Tree. The photos will decorate our resting area and transform it into a cozy and familiar corner, where children can look at their families and feel close to them while they rest. We are very excited to watch this special tree grow and to enjoy our resting time surrounded by the people we love most.

The highlight of the week was our Friday trip to Rudolfinum, where we enjoyed an interactive musical workshop about brass instruments such as the trombone and the tuba. It was so interesting to listen to their sounds, hear the stories they told us, and then act them out together. Everyone absolutely loved this experience!

That is all for now. We are looking forward to more adventures and discoveries together!

Best regards,
The Lions Team
