News from Cubs

17-21.5.2021

Dear parents, grandparents, and friends,

Many greetings from the Cub class!

Welcome to another week with our little bears and their adventures. We continued “The very hungry caterpillar” project, and especially for this week we have been focusing on nature and how we protect it. We mainly focused on how we protect the plants in the class and in our garden, how we treat them and what they need to grow and bloom. In the beginning of this project, we had planted some seeds, this week we have been observing a lot and watering them to see how tall they can grow. We realized how important sun and water is for them to grow.

During this week we also learned about bees. Bees really like flowers because of their sweet nectar. We found out that honey is being produced by them in their house, the beehive. Had the chance to even try honey during circle time and most of us liked it a lot!

This week was more than fun, since we celebrated two birthdays, Nela’s and Lexi’s. They both turned 2 during the month of April. Happy Birthday our little friends and thank you for the yummy food you brought for us 😊.

As every week we couldn’t miss spending some time at the gym. This week we practiced on dancing and perceiving the rhythm of different songs. Our favorite by far, is “Freeze Dance”.

That is all from us for now. Next week is going to be the last week of project 6 and we are going to learn about recycling.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
