Week of 2.12.-6.12. in the Fox class
Wizard is testing us, we are trying to find Christmas and St. Nicholas is visiting Villa Luna…
Advent has started and therefore also we began to count down days until Christmas with advent calendars, advent puzzle and an advent wreath we made.
We did some Christmas and winter crafting and played lots of games the children initiated themselves. One of the most favourite was “a bus” role play where children used all available resources to build the bus, seats and other necessary things needed for their play. We all admired their imagination.
The mean wizard gave us another two challenging tasks. One of them was to cut out a few black and white paper snowflakes for his house (which the children managed perfectly) and to build a puzzle of his portrait. The wizard had to admit we were successful and told us we had only 4 more tasks to complete to win the Christmas back.
All Foxes were very brave when St. Nicholaus arrived and sang songs to him and the angel confidently. In the afternoon they then drew their favourite character from the visit and shared their feeling with other friends. We sang Christmas carols, played musical instruments and enjoyed the magical atmosphere of Christmas.
On Friday we saw a theatre performance about two snowmen which the children loved and laughed a lot!
We wish you all another lovely advent Sunday.:)
