Project Afrika

Our African adventure – now that was something! We don't even know what we should tell you about first.

One morning we came to the kindergarten, and in the middle of the class lay a large basket covered with a red and yellow cloth. We were curiously going around it, but no one dared to look inside. We waited in suspense to see what the teacher would fish out. When she put her hand into the basket, we heard the sound of drums, and suddenly the fabric began to move. Then a dark skinned doll peeked out at us - it was a little girl from Africa. She told us what it looks like in Africa.

She even brought a friend with her who was real, and who taught us a beautiful African dance.

And so we decided to go to Africa. We made paper binoculars and cameras, got on an airplane which we built from chairs in our class, and we flew to Africa, where we "stayed for a whole month"..

We changed into African animals and we learned a lot of interesting things about their lives.

We also tried out the local cuisine, and at the end of our journey, we drew all our experiences on a big map of Africa, which we proudly showed to our parents.

And we also discovered that we have a bit of Africa in the Prague Zoo, so we just had to go see it!
