Week 23-27.11 in Lions.

I am Stick Man, I am Stick man, that’s me!

Hello dear friends, ready to read some news from Lions? Here we go then. This week, children got to know about The Stick man and all characters of this beautiful story. We enjoyed the film about his adventures and feelings, until he got back home, just in time for Christmas!

Children crafted their Stick Man puppets, using some sticks of various sizes, which they collected last week. With the sticks, they were able topractice some games in order develop the ability to compare based on length ( longer than, shorter than ). Then, little Lions payed with their Stick man puppets ( Drama Role ). They created their own Stick Man families, and had a great time together!

Children also enjoyed playing musical instruments. Attention and Listening games such as Pass the Sound was great time for little lions. Do you want to play this game? You will need pairs of musical instruments and a barrier.

The adult to hand ou tone set of the musical instruments and place the other set behind the barrier so the children cannot see. Mummy or Dad needs to play one of the instruments behind the barrier, and the children to listen and see if i tis the same as the instrument they were given.

Our morning activities in the gym, developing balance in movement ( ropes ) plus yoga exercises is something that little Lions enjoyed a lot!

We celebrated Thanksgiving Day. Children gor to know about this tradition celebrated in America and some other contries. Now, they know what people eat for that special dinner: Turkey! They learned a new song, they crafted a nice turkey to sing with, and of course, we shared some yummy biscuites! Thank you Tunde for the nice theater story : The Bear says thanks. Children really enjoyed the chance to participated on it.

We had so much fun in the Enveronmeltal Centre!! The cold weather didn’t stop us to observe changes in nature, enjoyed the farm animals, running and jumping!!

Looking forward for next week,

Your Lions class.
